Anyone who wants to go to the Sundance Film Festival in Utah next year will need more than a badge. All participants will need to be fully vaccinated, festival director Tabitha Jackson said Tuesday.
The Festival will require in 2022 that people who attend the festival or affiliated events have been vaccinated against COVID-19. That means everyone from volunteers to filmmakers to pass holders. More details will be published in the coming months.
Following a largely virtual edition earlier this year, Sundance organizers plan to hold face-to-face events in 2022 with screenings in Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as some “satellite” screenings at regional theaters across the United States.
The 2022 Sundance Film Festival is scheduled for January 20-30.
