“In the Bogor area, which is the buffer for the capital, it is very important to work on it quickly because the figure is still around 16 percent, so it needs acceleration,” Listyo said in a written statement.
Referring to data from the Ministry of Health on the website vaccine.kemkes.go.id, Bogor Regency has so far edited the first dose of vaccine for 548,108 people. This amount accounts for 1.45 percent of the vaccination target at the provincial level.
Meanwhile, Bogor City was recorded to have injected 300,869 first dose of vaccine with 0.79 percent of the provincial vaccine target.
The four-star general hopes that the vaccination process in the region can continue to improve every day. According to him, the momentum of Indonesia’s independence can be used to accelerate the vaccination.
Listyo reminded the public not to be afraid to take part in the Covid-19 vaccination. He emphasized that vaccines are for the common good.
“I urge you to vaccinate in order to increase the immunity of your brothers and sisters in the face of Covid. Therefore, do not hesitate to vaccinate because all countries implement it,” said the former aide to Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
In addition to vaccines, Listyo also asked residents to strictly adhere to the Covid-19 health protocol. This is to prevent the spread of the virus.
He stated that the acceleration of vaccines and prokes compliance could later have an impact on reducing the level of implementation of community activity restrictions (PPKM) in the region. Thus, the community will be more flexible in their activities.
“The impact is that economic activity increases and economic growth increases. Let’s run the vaccine in droves and keep wearing masks,” he said.
The National Police at least mobilized a stock of 5,000 Sinovac vaccines to be carried out at the Bogor IPB Campus today. They target the general public, students and campus employees to be vaccinated. This activity will continue until August 4, 2021.
