Young photography enthusiasts will be involved this year for the European Heritage Days in Lyon (Rhône). An exhibition, named “Heritage and you”, will display student shots.
Organized by the Métropole de Lyon and the Maison des Étudiants, this challenge will also allow the winners to win a student culture pass.
The link between heritage and youth
To participate, young people simply need to take a picture of an element of the heritage of the capital of the Gauls, whether it is explicitly linked to youth or not.
The goal is to transmit students’ vision of local heritage. “How do you see the heritage? Is it something inert or alive? How would you like to tell it? », Asks Lyon Campus.
The snapshot, once finely chosen, must be posted on Instagram, mentioning the account « @lyoncampus » and the hashtag « #jepgrandlyon », before September 3, 2021.
A culture pass at the key
In addition to being able to find their creations exhibited at the Maison des Étudiants de la Métropole, on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 September 2021, the best proposals will also leave with a student culture pass. The latter, valid in the metropolis, contains three concert tickets and a cinema ticket.
Heritage Days dedicated to youth
In 2021, Greater Lyon took up the theme “Heritage for all”, proposed by the Ministry of Culture, to focus on youth.
The weekend of September 18 and 19 will also offer other activities dedicated to young people, such as a “street and nature” photo walk and an introduction to solutions journalism.
