Patrick Ekeng’s death: The doctor on the ambulance, placed under judicial control

Prosecutors have decided that Mihaela Duta, the doctor on the Puls ambulance, took the footballer from the stadium Patrick Ekeng, to be investigated under judicial control.

She is charged with manslaughter and has been barred from practicing medicine for the next two months, according to Digi 24.

Mihaela Duta was heard on Wednesday morning in the case of Ekeng’s death, after she was previously charged on June 30.

She is blamed for the wrong intervention immediately after entering the field to the hospital, especially the fact that the footballer was not resuscitated.

Dinamo footballer Patrick Ekeng (26 years old) has died after collapsing on the field during the match with The future Constanta, played on May 6.

The next day, doctor Serban Bradisteanu, from Floreasca Hospital, said the footballer could be saved in case the doctors present at the stadium would have intervened faster and according to the procedures.

On the same day, The prosecutor’s office of the Bucharest Tribunal announced that the criminal investigation in rem has been started for the act of culpable homicide.

Subsequently, medical reports showed that Patrick Ekeng had heart problems.
