CETIN has accelerated the Internet. Up to 250 Mbit for almost two million households

CETIN used bonding technology to accelerate its fixed network, ie the use of two pairs of metallic lines. Acceleration works at the same time in both directions, ie not only on the way to customers (download), but also from them (upload).

Another 807 thousand households are within reach of connections with a speed of up to 100 Mbit / s and 763 thousand can have a maximum half speed. With a speed of up to 20 Mbit / s, 636 thousand users must be satisfied.

According to its spokesman Adam Zbiejczuk, the company is investing the greatest energy and investment in the project, in which it wants to connect one million households in the Czech Republic using optical networks (FTTH) at speeds of up to 1 Gbit / s.

“Optics is a priority, but we continue to improve the parameters of the recently modernized metallic network. We are also helped by our own network termination device: the so-called terminator, which not only enables the operation of bonded lines, but also has many other advantages, “he added.

CETIN owns and operates the largest electronic communications network covering 99.6 percent of the population of the Czech Republic. It provides services to wholesale telecommunications operators. The company, which is owned by the PPF investment group, was established by separating the networks from the O2 operator (for more see: COMMENT: O2 will be divided, the customer will not know anything yet).
