The men’s and women’s teams from Brazil participate in the new stage
One of the most loved sports in 2020 Olympics, O volleyball reached the stage of quarterfinals. Fortunately, the men’s and women’s teams of the Brazilian national team were classified and are facing serious opponents in the coming days.
In the quarterfinals, the four placed from one group meet the four placed from the other group, shuffle and start the “Spy”. From then on, whoever is defeated is disqualified, and the winners will compete in the semifinals. Understand the dynamics of volleyball at the Olympic Games clicking here.

Volleyball at the Olympics: quarter finals calendar
male team
All quarter-final matches for the men’s volleyball team will take place between today (2) and tomorrow (3). Brazil plays on Tuesday (3) against Japan. See:
- Russia X Canada Olympic Committee: today (2), at 9 pm (Brasilia time)
- Japan X Brazil: Tuesday (3), at 1:00 am (Brasilia time)
- Italy X Argentina: Tuesday (3), at 5:00 am (Brasilia time)
- Poland X France: Tuesday (3), at 9:30 am (Brasilia time)
If the Brazilian team wins, it will compete for the semifinal against the winner of the match between Russian Olympic Committee and Canada. The match will take place in August 5.

The quarterfinal matches of the women’s volleyball team will start tomorrow (3) and run until Wednesday (4). The girls from Brazil compete on Wednesday (4) against the Russian Olympic Committee. Check out:

- Dominican Republic X United States: Wednesday (4), at 1:00 am (Brasilia time)

In case the Brazilian team wins, the girls will play the semifinal in day august 6 against the winners of the match between Turkey and South Korea.
