The police have started a search operation for a 35-year-old man in the area of Nørdstedalseter in Sogn, and to Sognefjellshytta, which is located in the mountain area between Jotunheimen, Breheimen and Hurrungane.
The man had booked a room at Sognefjellshytta, but had not arrived there on Monday morning.

This meant that employees at Sognefjellshytta sent a report of concern to the police, says operations manager Atle Bernhoft von Obstfelder in the Innlandet police district.
Considering helicopter search
Geir Rune Ekse in the Innlandet police district is the task leader. He says they now have the crew in place at Sognefjellshytta.
– We get rescue dogs, Oppland Red Cross, Parish Red Cross. Others are also on their way, says Ekse.
They will walk the path that the man should follow.
He says they will consider using a helicopter if they do not find anything within a short time.
The police have not yet come into contact with the man’s relatives.
