Goldman Sachs seems ready to introduce a very clear internal line on the vaccine issue.
While the delta variant continues to be one of the biggest pandemic-related problems for much of the world, the New York banking giant intends to prevent employees from using ID cards as identification at the entrance to its buildings unless they have updated the company on the their vaccination status.
A choice aimed precisely at a change of policies that follows the pandemic trend, and which aims to ask employees to present proof of their vaccination carried out.
Goldman takes a stand on vaccines
In reality, Goldman Sachs employees are already required to report the status of their vaccination to the company, a policy that was instituted on June 10 last and which leads – in case of non-administration – to specific consequences depending on the case:
“If you do not report the status of your vaccination to the company, your identity card will not work to guarantee you entry into the building, which will instead be subject to reporting the vaccination process, in progress or completed”,
a spokesperson for the company told CNN.
Plus, unvaccinated employees must have a quick swab on-site at Goldman’s office before coming tested regularly and if positive, invited to leave the building immediately.
A modality that also seem to follow Morgan Stanley New York offices, which is banning all staff and unvaccinated customers from accessing its premises.
According to the company’s latest official reports, all employees working in buildings with a “large employee presence” were required to confirm their vaccination status by 1 July.
While at the Deutsche Bank There do not appear to be any restrictions imposed on employees who are not vaccinated or unwilling to disclose information on the status of their vaccination for the time being.
However, the latter are required to answer a series of questions about any symptoms, recent trips and movements made and they must always wear a mask, as well as undergo tests several times a week in the office
