About 32 million Britons will receive an invitation for a third shot against the corona virus from next month. The British newspaper reports that The Telegraph. So far, Britons have received a maximum of two corona shots, but according to the newspaper, the third shot should lead to more protection against worrying variants of the corona virus, such as the delta variant. People aged 50 and older and people who suffer from immune problems will receive an invitation letter.
The newspaper reports that the campaign to get the third shot should start in the first week of September. This would mean about 2.5 million injections per week. The campaign should be completed by the end of December, at least before Christmas.
It is also being considered to give people a different shot than the shots they have had before.
