The new price of a dose of “Pfizer” is 19.5 euros, and of “Modern” is 25.5 dollars per dose
Pfizer and Moderna have raised the prices of their covid vaccines in their latest supply contracts with the European Union, the Financial Times reported.
The new price of a dose of Pfizer is 19.5 euros compared to the previous one of 15.5 euros, the publication points out, referring to parts of the contracts to which it has guaranteed access.
The price for Moderna’s vaccine is $ 25.5 per dose, the contracts show, an increase from the price of about 19 euros in the first purchase agreement.
On Tuesday, the European Commission said the EU was on track to achieve the goal of vaccinating at least 70 per cent of its adult population by the end of the summer.
In May, Brussels announced that it expected to receive more than one billion doses from four pharmaceutical companies by the end of September.
