InXile is a studio packed with talent, and you don’t have to go far to see it. The last title of the study has been Wasteland 3, and although it is true that the game came to the market with some problems (especially performance), the truth is that it is one of the best traditional RPGs that we have seen in recent years.
We have already told you on more than one occasion that the studio is working on a new RPG game, although apart from this we know little more today. In fact, a few months ago we brought you some indications that the new InXile would be a Steampunk RPG, and it seems that these were not crazy at all.
Project Cobalt is the codename of the new InXile
As you can see just below, Jez Corden (which works for Windows Central) has commented on the Rand al Thor 19 podcast how it seems that this new InXile project, with codename Project CobaltIt seems that if it would be an RPG with a Steampunk setting. In addition, this would use Unreal Engine 5 and could even be an FPS, something different from what the studio has us used to. The bad news is related to its launch date, and it seems that there are still quite a few years to go before it reaches the market.
(Rumor) InXile’s new RPG in development is codenamed Project Cobalt according to Jez Corden
• A Steampunk RPG
• Made using the UE5
• Maybe be FPS
• No Release Date
• Jeff Grubb did say it’s internally scheduled for 2023
• Rand thinks 2024/25Sourcehttps://t.co/JdFzOQfqt7 pic.twitter.com/RKRJ1NAAFE

As we always tell you, these are just rumors, although taking into account that they are not the first we see in the same direction, they may be right. If you want to be aware of all the news about the new Xbox Game Studios titles, I recommend that you keep an eye on Xbox Generation.
