The NS employees called the police and provided the girl with food and drink. “A helpful passer-by helped us very well because of the dialect this girl spoke. Together we were able to reassure her and take her to the office,” local police officer Peter writes. There, “the right agencies” have been called in to arrange shelter for the girl.

After reporting from the AD, the police can no longer tell you about the situation. It is unclear where the Syrian girl comes from, whether she was already in the Netherlands or where she entered the country.

„It really touches your heart that such a young child, mothersoul and alone, is left to her fate in a country that is foreign to her… Fortunately, with multiple disciplines and the help of caring citizens, we can do something for her and hopefully she will have a good future”, agent Peter concludes his message.
