Curfew for vaccine against covid-19 – Other Cities – Colombia

The curfew measure for those who are not vaccinated against covid-19 was established by the mayor of Sucre (Sucre), Elvira Julia Mercado, in the La Mojana subregion.

The purpose is to increase prevention against a possible outbreak of covid-19, leading to all inhabitants being vaccinated and thus achieving herd immunity.

The measure runs from August 2 to 9. It will apply throughout the day for anyone who does not have a vaccination card.

Those who are not vaccinated will have to stay at home, unless they go to a vaccination post to get the dose of the vaccine against covid-19.

The decree says that the owners of commercial establishments must require their visitors the vaccination card to be able to enter them to carry out their errands.

The list of places includes neighborhood stores, supermarkets, restaurants, bakeries, stores that sell liquor, warehouses, barns, banks, money order entities, and nightclubs.

These last sites, as well as the stables, may operate until one in the morning, provided that they meet all the biosafety elements.

Clients must wear face masks and keep the distance agreed by health organizations, otherwise they will incur a fault to be sanctioned.

The entities are also obliged to have their employees with the vaccination card and show it when the authorities require it.

Those who ignore the provisions set forth in the decree will have a sanction in accordance with the provisions of Law 599 of 2000, included in the Penal Code and in the Law 734 of 2002 of the Disciplinary Code.

The measures were well received by the community of Sucre (Sucre) and their spokesmen have stated that they will abide by them without problem.

“We want everyone to be vaccinated, there are enough biologicals and we want the protection of the inhabitants of the municipality. We are a pilot in vaccination and we must respond to that distinction that they have given us, ”said the mayor.

In other municipalities

In the municipality of La Villa de San Benito Abad, in the San Jorge subregion, Mayor Manuel Cadrazco Salcedo determined that the community must show the vaccination card to enter any commercial establishment.

Also in Toluviejo, municipality of Montes de María, the municipal administration decided to deliver a ballot to participate in the raffle of 500 thousand pesos, so that they agree to get the covid vaccine.

These municipalities of Sucre have taken measures seeking that the community go to the opposite of vaccination.

And they were also chosen by the national government as pilots for the application of the differential vaccine, resulting in minor beneficiaries from 12 years of age to receive the biological.
