Two Slovak football clubs won the promotion to the 3rd preliminary round of the European Conference League on Thursday. Spartak Trnava advanced after the drama and eleven shot through the Romanian Sepsi OSK, and Žilina kept a good result at home from the Cypriot Apollon Limassol at home.

Only DAC Dunajská Streda finished, which, after losing on Partizan Belgrade, failed even in retaliation at the home stadium.
In the first match, the DAC lost outside only by a goal 0: 1, but did not manage to repair at home. The players from Žitný ostrov worked out several chances and also had the opportunity to play a penalty kick already at 0: 1, but all possibilities remained unused and lost 0: 2. In the past two European and in one league match, they scored only one goal in total.
“We need to improve in changing the chances. It takes patience. We believe that on Sunday against Liptovský Mikuláš we will break this line and return to the efficiency we demonstrated against Partizan in terms of games,” evaluated the performance of his charges coach Antal Németh.
He confirmed that after the end of the European competition, changes can occur in the yellow-blue team: “There is still a lot of time left until the end of August. Whatever happens, we are still working to build a good team and be successful.”
