We will not lie to you: considering the seven players (out of the nine making up the Aveyron delegation) discovering the national high mass, we did not expect exploits, strong sudden Olympic forms, from our three teams qualified for the 75th championship from France in male triplets, this last weekend in Lanester, near Lorient.
De facto, with one elimination in the pool and two more in the 64th round, we were neither surprised nor disappointed. It is therefore a mixed, but very honorable, assessment that the Committee 12 of South Brittany brings back.
Mixed, because it took a small point (a ball!) For it to turn, if not into gold, at least into steel. A small point, like the one that missed the Rieupeyrousains Eric Védrines, Grégory Mouysset and Sébastien Vialelles to get out of the pool in the second part, before stumbling (at 6) in the jump-off against the Corsicans of Linza. Future sixteenth finalists they had dominated at 8 in the first part …
Also mixed the career of Nicolas Pawlowski, Dorian Guilhem and David Aigouy to whom, given their youth, their undeniable potential and the experience of the third, eighth finalist (with Thibaut Bories and Yannick Bors) three years ago in Strasbourg, the destiny of playing on Sunday morning was given.
Good, the Sebazacois!
Impression confirmed, under the downpours of Saturday morning, by their seven points conceded in pool and corroborated by a lenient draw attributing them the Hauts-Alpins de Kuti in the 64th finals. Except that if the rain had faded in the meantime, so did their punching power. 13 to 11: the vice-champions of Aveyron left the competition bitter. A frustration that Nicolas Pawlowski will have the opportunity to dissipate in the French championship in mixed pairs, at the end of August in Montauban, in the company of Sophié Fournié, also failing in shooting a week before in the quarterfinals of the French championship in women’s triplets at Palavas …
In the end, the only ones who have really lived up to expectations are Pierre Beq, André Cabanes and Florent Bernié. Going out of the pool confined for this team, surprising but meritorious third in the Aveyron championship at La Primaube on June 20, a sort of quest for the Grail. Mission accomplished for a small point, but mission accomplished anyway.
This small point, it first allowed him, first, to win the losing game at the expense of the Picards de Marenghi, then to do it again by taking his revenge in a barrage against the Burgundians of Bonavent.
One and one that make two, like the two fatal points for the Sebazacois in the round of 16 following an unfortunate displacement of a stopper. They too lost 13 to 11 at the end of this first part after group. But they, with the feeling of a job well done.

Having regard to their title of champions of France won in 2015, in Narbonne, with the solid Sacha Solana, Fabien Barre and Dylan Nexon, now supported by the former Columérin Luc Laille, were among the “starred” ( one unit) of our now favorite ranking ritual (see our edition of Friday, July 23). But let’s face it frankly, the Axeans were given little chance of winning a second supreme coronation at the end of a competition where the Bonetto-Lucchesi-Rivière, Suchaud-Cano-Usaï, Rousseau-Rangue-Ayadzeddam, Feltain- Feltain-Darodes set themselves up as favorites and Fréjussiens Dylan Rocher-Henri Lacroix-Stéphane Robineau as scarecrows.
And yet, Fabien Barre, Dylan Nexon and Luc Laïlle offered to the “small committee” (barely more than 1000 Licensees) of Ariège a third title in male triplets (1), this Sunday evening in the Lanester exhibition center , near Lorient.
To do this, they dominated in the final the Pornicais de Blancheton, authors of the perf of the weekend for having fallen Dylan Rocher and co, Sunday morning, in the round of 16. And as the usual game of brand eliminations (see elsewhere) had been fatal to most of the other favorites, it was believed that the Vesoulais Kévin Prud’Homme, Georges Feltin and Winter Claudy were going to sign an extremely rare double. Nay!
In the quarter-finals, the title holders failed by nothing against the former vice-champion of France head-to-head 2013, Fabrice Uytterhoeven, himself a victim, in the next part, of the constancy of Pyrenees, maybe not flamboyant, but very constant.
