Sony and Microsoft have officially announced August’s PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold games. Since both companies did that at about the same time, we just combine the info!
Xbox Live Gold members can claim the action game Darksiders 3 throughout August. This hack-and-slash adventure game is, as the name implies, the third installment in the series where players control Fury, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. They hunt for the Seven Deadly Sins. From August 16 to September 15, the platformer Yooka-Laylee – from the British Playtonic – can also be claimed. As for Xbox 360 games (which are also playable on Xbox One), these are Lost Planet 3 (from August 1 to 15) and Garou: Mark of the Wolves (from August 16 to 31). PlayStation gamers with a PS Plus subscription can claim the following games from August 3 to September 5: Hunter’s Arena: Legends, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville and Tennis World Tour 2. PS5 gamers can claim the PS5 version of Hunter’s Arena, while PS4 gamers logically get the PS4 version.
Hunter’s Arena: Legends is a 30-player multiplayer game that pits humanity against each other and demons. plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville is the well-known multiplayer game in which players compete against each other like plants. Finally, Tennis World Tour 2 – surprise! – a tennis game. The PS Plus games of August were leaked last week, and therefore appear to be correct. More info about the games is on PlayStation Blog.
