New Horizons gets a new update this week • Gamingnation

Animal Crossing: New Horizons players can expect free new content for their game the day after tomorrow.

Players can expect new seasonal items and weekly fireworks displays. You need to make sure you have downloaded the latest update of the game in order to enjoy the content. That’s not all you can expect, though, as Nintendo says more content is in the pipeline.

According to the company, the additional content is in development and scheduled for release later this year. The game’s most recent update came in June with the Bug-Off Tournament, an annual event. Here, Flick runs the carnival, which works similarly to CJ’s fishing tournaments.

Instead of quarterly like the fishing tournament, the Bug-Off takes place once a month during the summer (through September). The most recent took place on July 24 and the next one will go live on August 28.
