The tuning company Alpina is well known for the modifications of all BMW models over the years, and after the introduction of several electric cars from the German brand, the tuning studio is expected to deal with them.
Although this is likely to happen in the near future to see the first electric Alpina, the company’s customers are not particularly interested in electric cars. In an interview with Bimmer Today, the CEO of Alpina mentioned that a survey among customers shows that electric cars would not be a choice for most of them in a future purchase.
Most of them insist on high mileage, fast acceleration and high speed driving, especially in Germany, where some roads do not have a speed limit. Most Alpina owners drive their cars every day and the mileage of 30,000 to 50,000 kilometers per year is quite normal for them. Alpina even adds that an electric car with features like that of some of their V8 models would have a maximum mileage of 200 kilometers.
