Carrefour brings an expat to lead the acquisitions in Romania. This is the third top management change this year after the French appointed a new CEO and another HR director in Romania.

The French group Carrefour, present locally with over 360 stores in several formats, appointed Vincent Arnault as director of procurement and supply chain, while taking over a position on the local board (executive committee).

“We will continue to develop projects that meet the diversity of consumer needs and that will strengthen the omnichannel shopping experience,” said Vincent Arnault.

The expat comes to Romania after holding a similar position in France, Carrefour’s parent market. He has been working for the Hexagon giant since 2015, starting as director of the home appliances and multimedia department. In 2018 he became procurement director for Carrefour France, and from September 1 this year he will take over the new position. The group’s officials did not specify who will replace the French executive in the Romanian business.
