National team midfielder: “Equals – will win any match”

On Tuesday, Sweden won its third and final group game match when they beat New Zealand 2-0. The victory was Blågult’s third in the group stage and now awaits the quarterfinals for the Swedish women’s national team.

Which resistance there will be will be decided on Tuesday afternoon, where there is much to suggest that it will be either Japan or Canada.

Which of the teams do the Swedish players want to face? Filippa Angeldahl has her opinion clear.

“It doesn’t matter, we will win any match,” the midfielder told Aftonbladet.

– She’s cocky now, haha. We have made a fantastic group game. I do not want to fly away too much of course. No matter who we meet, we will make a good match. We will see how it turns out, Olivia Schough replies, who is supported by team captain Caroline Seger.

– It’s healthy humility, haha, but I still have to agree with her. The feeling we have now in the team is very good, but we still need to keep the humility and focus on the opponent we get. We know what we can do but we need to show it again and again. It is not enough just to play a good group game, says Seger.

In addition to the victory against New Zealand in the group stage, Sweden also beat Australia 4-2 and the USA 3-0.
