TOKYO, Japan – The round of 16 tennis matches that were being played outdoors at the Olympic tournament have resumed an hour and 40 minutes after they were interrupted by the wind and rain that brought Typhoon Nepartak to Tokyo.
With the exception of the center court of the Ariake club, the only one that has a cover, Tuesday’s program had to be interrupted when the Spanish Garbiñe Muguruza and Sara Sorribes and the Argentine Diego Schwartzman, among others, had started to play.
