Milan –
Romelu Lukaku ready to work hand in hand with a new coach Inter Milan, Simone Inzaghi, to defend the Scudetto title. He considered Inzaghi very good.
Inter have to lose Antonio Conte who managed to bring them the Scudetto last season. The former Juventus coach left the Giuseppe Meazza after not being in line with Inter’s plans to sell players to overcome the financial crisis they were facing.
Lukaku regrets the departure of Conte. He was even rumored to be following Conte’s departure from Inter.
However, the Belgian striker then insisted on staying at Inter. He is now preparing to work hand in hand with the new Inter coach, Simone Inzaghi to give the best for the Snake this season.
Lukaku reveals his relationship with the former Lazio coach is very good. The 28-year-old admitted that he had spoken with Inzaghi since at Euro 2020 when he was defending Belgium.
Lukaku also asks a lot of questions about his younger brother, Jordan Lukaku, regarding Inzaghi’s coaching style. The reason is that Jordan has experienced being trained by Inzaghi at Lazio.
“The coach has spoken with us since I was at the Euros. My brother has also told me a lot about him,” said Lukaku quoted from the official Inter website.
“He’s a very good coach. I think he will help the team achieve a lot. We hope we can all work together to continue the path we have started,” he explained.
Inzaghi seems to still be relying on Lukaku as Inter’s main goal machine. Last season, Lukaku appeared sharp when he led Inter to the Scudetto title by packing 24 goals. He only lost sharply to Cristiano Ronaldo, who became the top scorer thanks to his 29 goals.
