Petar Iliev is the most likely name of the new prime minister. Thus, Plovdiv, where the main staff for the team of President Rumen Radev and the caretaker government come from, will also nominate the Prime Minister of “There is such a people”.
It is not clear whether it is a proposal of Presidential Secretary Plamen Uzunov, who selects Plovdiv staff. According to certain sources, it is also close to “Democratic Bulgaria”.

Petar Iliev was nominated by Slavi Trifonov as Minister of Justice in the government with Prime Minister Nikolay Vassilev, which the ITN leader later resigned under pressure from the DB. Iliev is a laureate of the “Lawyer of the Year” award, which was presented to him by Radev’s former caretaker Prime Minister Prof. Ognyan Gerdjikov. He is a senior assistant at the Faculty of Law of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski ”from 2006 until now.
He teaches “Constitutional Law”, “Organization of Human Rights Institutions” and “Human Rights in the Jurisprudence of the Bulgarian Courts”. Petar Iliev is a doctor of law.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski ”with full honors and was the winner of the class of 2003, for which he received the distinctive gold badge (gold badge) for full honors from the rector of the university.
In 1997 he graduated from the First English Language High School in Sofia, again with full honors and was a graduate.
He received his doctorate at Sofia University. He is the author of two books and over 30 scientific publications (articles, studies, etc.) on various legal issues. He is the author of more than 30 other publications on legal topics in periodicals and specialized business publications.
He majored in English Commercial Law and European Union Law at Buckingham University, UK, where he graduated with honors. He also majored in American Commercial Law in New York, where he also graduated with honors. There are also specializations in “Justice”, “Public Administration” and “International Law and International Relations”.
Dr. Petar Iliev is the founder and managing partner of Iliev & Partners Law Firm. The law firm is the winner of the Law Firm of the Year award.
