For the second year in a row, the Lodève museum is organizing picnics at sunset, on one of the major sites in the Heart of Hérault: the Lac du Salagou.
“The participants particularly liked the concept last year, so we decided to repeat the experience”, says Céline Demarcq, communications officer at the museum.
The secrets of the lake
As in previous years, Hérault residents and passing tourists are invited to come and eat, recharge their batteries and enjoy this idyllic setting. “Being together in such a place and enjoying is great. People need to realize that this is not just a place to swim.”
This is why Thomas, environmental coordinator at the Demain la Terre association, participates in the event as a storyteller, geologist and historian. “Thomas teaches the participants, in a fun way, the history of our territory, by observing nature, the formation of landscapes. This walk has one goal: to link the museum’s collections with the environment and to see more closely what happening there. “
The first picnic takes place this Wednesday July 28. For those interested, provide a meal and a torch. The activity is not accessible to people with reduced mobility and strollers. Remember to book!
