Child is positive for covid-19 but parents are negative for covid-19
–
Nakita.id – When a child is tested positive for COVID-19, ideally other family members immediately undergo a PCR swab.
This is because family members live in one house and are in close contact with the Little One.
And it is not impossible if both parents are tested negative for Covid-19 when the Little One is positive for Covid-19.
But due to this condition, parents are worried because the little one has to undergo independent isolation.
Understanding this condition, a psychologist Dya Adis Putri Rahmadanti, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist in an interview with Nakita.id explain what parents can do if their child is tested negative for COVID-19 while their child is positive for COVID-19.
1. Keep calm
First of all, parents must remain calm with the condition of the Little One being tested positive for Covid-19.

If the little one sees his parents panicking, as a result, he himself will panic and it is feared that his immune system will decrease.
“Encouraging children so that they can face treatment in independent isolation calmly,” said Adis.
2. Fulfill what he wants
You can also fulfill what you want to make your child calm in self-isolation.
Moms can ask what food your little one wants today and make it so that he is happy when he eats.
In addition, ask about what you want to play and accompany your little one to play by making sure to keep your distance, Moms.
“We can ask the child every day what food he wants to eat or what activities he wants to do together but by keeping a safe distance,” explains the psychologist who practices at golife.id.
3. Have a chat
The child is currently in self-isolation, which means being separated for days from Mom and Dad.
That way, don’t forget to routinely undergo 2-way communication such as calling, video calling, or just chatting.
“So that children can pour their complaints to us and provide the best solution for children when children feel anxious or nervous when doing isomanism,” said Adis.
Then also tell your little one that he won’t be in this self-isolation for long.
“The most important thing is that we as parents do not put pressure on children who are isoman,” said Adis.
