The Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Command of the Civil Guard of Ourense, in a joint operation with the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of Pontevedra, dismantles a criminal group dedicated to commit robberies with force in several towns in the provinces of Ourense, Pontevedra, Lugo and A Coruña, to money laundering and drug trafficking.
Operation “Veracruz-Miradoiro” began at the beginning of April, after learning of an increase in robberies in towns in the Galician Community (Carballino, Vigo, Lalín, Porriño). After carrying out several inquiries on June 10, agents of the Organic Units of the Judicial Police of Pontevedra and Ourense, in collaboration with the Judicial Police Team of Lalín (Pontevedra), the Investigation Team of the Company of Lalín (Pontevedra), the Citizen Security Unit (USECIC) of Pontevedra, agents of the Operational Group of the Ourense Command, and the National Police Stations of Monforte de Lemos and Santiago de Compostela, the operation is carried out, which results in the arrest of 5 people, 2 residents of Madrid and 3 of Ourense capital, who are charged with the commission of 40 robberies with force, drug trafficking, money laundering and 1 crime of integration into a criminal group.
Within the framework of the operation, two household searches were carried out, whereThey seized various objects related to the robberies. Likewise, three vehicles have been intervened that were used to travel to commit crimes.
