KPK Immediately Summons Anies Regarding Land Corruption in Munjul

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Corruption Eradication Commission (NCP) immediately summoned the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan related to the alleged corruption case in land acquisition in Munjul, Cipayung, East Jakarta.

The chairman of the KPK, Firli Bahuri, said that Anies would be summoned in no more than two weeks.

“In time, the KPK will inform the public as soon as possible, maybe this week or next week,” said Firli when contacted, Monday (26/7).

The three-star police general said that currently his party is still investigating the Director of PT Aldira Berkah Abadi Makmur, Rudy Hartono Iskandar, who has been named a suspect. Investigations are still being carried out on a number of other parties.

Firli ensured that he would not be selective in investigating any corruption case. Each case handling process, he said, would only refer to the evidence collected, including the alleged land corruption case in DKI Jakarta.

“We will indeed schedule the summons of the parties involved in the corruption case of land acquisition in DKI Jakarta, give the KPK time to work,” he said.

In this case, the KPK has named five suspects. Apart from Rudy, the other four suspects are the former President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, Yoory Corneles Pinontoan; Director of PT AP, Tommy Adrian; Deputy Director of PT AP, Anja Runtuwene; and corporation, namely PT AP.

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) estimates that state losses amount to Rp. 152.5 billion from the case. Anti-corruption agencies suspect the money has been used for personal gain, such as buying land and luxury vehicles.
