NEW YORK – Authorities are looking for two suspects in the murder of a 28-year-old during an armed robbery in Manhattan, police announced.
According to the New York City Police report, the crime occurred on Thursday, around 6:30 a.m., when the two alleged thieves approached the car where the 28-year-old victim was parked in the area of Sherman Avenue Y West 204 Street.
At that point, the police report says, the suspects pointed a firearm at the victim and ripped off her jewelry. One of the suspects would have shot the young man before fleeing, the Uniformed said.
The victim, identified as 28-year-old Joel Vásquez, was transported to the hospital NYC Health + Hospitals / Harlem where he was pronounced dead.
The first suspect was last seen wearing a gray shirt, gray pants, and black sneakers. The latter, meanwhile, was last seen wearing a white shirt, black pants and a black basketball cap.
It was not released whether the suspects knew the victim.
