As reported by the Daily, Fanara told him that he slept soundly for six weeks thinking about the selection process.
Fanara is a graduate engineer and scientist from the University of Florida and he spent six years conducting environmental health research at the Mote Marine Laboratory.
“I am very honored to be given the opportunity as one of eight candidates who will fly to the moon,” he said.
His deep interest inscienceand space began when he was 14 years old.
The dearMoon project is expected to take three days to reach the moon and three days to return to earth.
