Met Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Sony Pictures produced arguably the best superhero movie made to date. The animated film is set to launch a major Spider-Verse and the next installment will debut in 2022.
It now becomes clear that in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 the character Peter B. Parker returns. Actor Jake Johnson (Jurassic World: Dominion) now comes with the message that he is in talks to return for the sequel.
Peter B. Parker terug in Into the Spider-Verse 2
Speaking to The Movie Dweeb, Johnson said he will likely lend his voice again to Peter B. Parker. “I’m working on a contract. I believe Peter B. Parker will return,” said Johnson.
However, the actor does not know anything about the story yet. “I don’t know! I haven’t seen the script! All I know is that I haven’t heard anything for a long time and I was very sorry. I loved playing Peter B. Parker,” zei Johnson.
“I’d like to know what happens to Peter B. Parker. I think the way his journey ended in the first movie was very open,” continued Johnson. “So ever since I heard they were working on a deal, I can’t wait to read what the writers came up with.”
Directed by Spider-Verse 2 is in the hands of Joaquim Dos Santos (Voltron: Legendary Defender, The Legend of Korra), Kemp Powers (Soul) in Justin K. Thompson. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2 is scheduled for October 2022.
