New York has a new attraction: a park on the Hudson River near 13th Street. The fairy-tale oasis called “Little Island” is slightly larger than a soccer field and was built on tulip-shaped concrete beams. Now it has opened.

Cultural events are intended to liven up the artificial island from now on. There will be several places for performances by artists – including an amphitheater with around 750 seats. At the same time, visitors have a great view of Manhattan and the skyline thanks to the different heights.

“Little Island” – public space for art and nature in New York

Overall, the park in New York should form a bridge between nature and art, according to the initiators. Therefore, a garden landscape was created, which consists of trees, bushes and lawns.
