She is 20 years old, has a charming attitude and her eyes, like her smile, are full of dreams. The biggest is already being fulfilled. Music is his passion at such a young age Lunay has achieved great recognition, which would take others his entire age to get to where he is.

Before he was an athlete, he played soccer, his life was heading there, but the music passed like a cyclone and has put him in a good position. From the age of 14 he felt a passion for music, he began to upload his videos to the internet and producers Chris Jedi and Gaby Music discovered him and believed in him.

Let us remember that Daddy Yankee also started young, now with 45 years he has become the face and voice that promoted reggaeton worldwide. And as expected, the pioneer is Lunay’s favorite artist, whom he admires; but in 2019 he stopped being a viewer of Daddy Yankee’s videos and songs to collaborate with him and Bad Bunny in Single Remix. The theme was part of his first album titled Epic, which brings together 13 more songs.

Lunay told this newspaper that four years before his favorite artist collaborated with him (because Single is from Lunay) had had the opportunity to “look into his eyes as a fan and tell him: I’m going to work with you, I’m not going to stop until I get it”.

At that level has been the growth of Jefnier Osorio Moreno, known as Lunay, who released his new album in 2021, The boy. The musical compilation is a creative representation of what the artist is living before turning 21 years old.

The child (of 15 songs) includes collaborations with Chencho Corleone, Anitta, Bryant Myers, Zion, Chanell, and Juliito. This album was also the first released by LA FAMILIA, the independent record label of renowned producers Chris Jedi and Gaby Music. It is precisely All or nothing, song in which the Brazilian Anitta collaborates, one of the most welcomed by the public. She thanks Anitta for the opportunity to work with her.

Lunay said that the recognition, the affection of the people in the street, that they ask him for photos and videos, are things that he knew, in his heart, that they would happen since he was very young. “That’s why he put that concept on his new album.”

Spending with his family and riding a motorcycle is what he likes the most, apart from music. “Soon you will see me in Ecuador or wherever … on a motorcycle,” he says jokingly. The family is more serious, that’s why he greeted us from Puerto Rico, his native country and where his closest circle is. He confesses that separating himself from the family “is not easy.”

It also enjoys its gastronomy, the rice with adules and pernil is on the top from your list. We invited him to Ecuador to try our gastronomy and he did not hesitate for half a second to respond that he really wants to visit the country.

This year Lunay was nominated for the Heat Awards, as well as for the Premios Juventud. In April he had the opportunity to be on the set of Jimmy Fallon (renowned American presenter), along with the Argentine artist Nicky Nicole singing Don’t touch my naik. “The Jimmy Fallon thing I always see here in my house, it was very crazy,” he said.

Now he has Drake between his eyebrows, he hopes to collaborate with him at some point. (AND)
