On Thursday evening 9 September, the Provincial Executives want to question the contribution. The announced move caused a storm of indignation in Heerlen, where DSM is traditionally located.

The fact that the province is contributing to that move does not really help to quell this anger. And certainly not where GS want to get the money from: the money is drawn from a pot to stimulate the development of small village centres.

The pot for small village centers is not intended for corporate relocations of multinationals, according to a majority in the States. The seven political groups want the provincial contribution to be suspended until the Parliament debate.
