While he himself may continue to claim that they are all lies, the charges against disgraced R&B singer R. Kelly keep growing. And the court now also says it has hard evidence of sexual abuse.

R. Kelly is accused of sexually abusing girls and women, and New York prosecutors say they now have even more evidence. The prosecutors hope to use the new evidence in the cases against him. For he himself denies everything and dismisses everything as slander.
In March 2020, a lawsuit was filed in New York against the singer, known for hits such as I Believe I Can Fly and The World’s Greatest. In it, six women accuse him of abuse. After that it continued to rain. The new evidence includes the testimonies of twenty other anonymous women and two anonymous men. One of the men says he was sexually assaulted by R. Kelly when he was 17 and forced to engage in sexual acts with others.
He claims Kelly met him at a McDonalds in 2006. The 17-year-old boy, who went by the pseudonym John Doe, says the singer asked him “what he was willing to do to succeed in the music business. ”
The other man is a friend of his, to whom the same thing happened years later. According to the anonymous witnesses, there would be film recordings, made by the singer, of the sexual encounters.
In addition to the testimonies, the prosecutors also hope to show images in court that would show R. Kelly physically and mentally abusing two women.

The singer would also have applied for a forged passport for the then fifteen-year-old Aaliyah. That way it was possible to marry her. According to the documents, this was necessary because the singer believed that Aaliyah was pregnant with him and his wife could not testify against him.
The story that Aaliyah and R. Kelly were married has been around for years, but has always been contradicted by the two. The singer, known for hits such as Try Again and Rock the Boat, died in a plane crash in 2001.
R. Kelly is currently in a Brooklyn jail pending trial. A total of 22 parts are included in the criminal prosecution. The trial is set to begin on August 9.
