JAKARTA – For fans of the film Top Gun, which was popular in the 1980s, the video released by Paramount Pictures recently is not to be missed. Because the short video with a duration of 6 minutes 25 seconds features the main character of the film Top Gun, Tom Cruise and two legends of Formula 1 (F1) car racing, David Coulthard and Mark Webber.
What’s unique about this short video is that they replay the scene from the film Top Gun, which was released in 1986. The difference is that the reenactment scene was not done in space using a US fighter jet. Instead, the reenactment was done at the British racing circuit, Silverstone and using the latest Porsche 911 GT3.

In the video, Tom Cruise even reiterates some of the dialogue quotes from the film Top Gun. The scene in the video is getting more intense because Tom Cruise really seems to drive a car with a maximum power of 502 horsepower like when flying a fighter jet. For example, splitting the path of the car driven by Mark Webber and David Coulthard who were hand in hand.
The scene gets more intense as David Coulthard and Mark Webber then try to chase after the silver Porsche 911 GT3 driven by Tom Cruise. Although he has no experience in F1, Tom Cruise can at least match the abilities of Mark Webber and David Coulthard. But of course it happened because of the commercial interests of the video.

In fact, the short video was deliberately made for the promotion of the latest film Top Gun 2021, which is also played by Tom Cruise. The film itself is scheduled to be released this November.
The new film continues to tell the story of Maverick, played by Tom Cruise, who is recalled to the United States Air Force after a long decision to retire.
