Twitter cancels ‘fleets’ just months after launch
Twitter debuted in November with a new ephemeral tweet option called “Fleet,” with the feature designed to compete with Instagram Stories, Facebook Stories, Snapchat, and more. Apparently, the fleets were not caught up, because Twitter announced today that the fleets will be suspended as of August 3, less than a year after the launch of the feature.
