The one dedicated to Raffaella Carrà seems like a very long greeting without end: first the sudden disappearance that no one expected, the infinite tributes (both on television and in the squares of the world), then the procession along the streets of Rome and at the places where Raffaella built her television career and finally the funeral atAra Coeli last July 5th. Now, almost a month after his disappearance, the whole world must prepare the last farewell to Raffaella, in what will in fact also be his last trip.
As you ordered, later the funeral the ashes of the Carrà reached San Giovanni Rotondo for a greeting to Padre Pio, to whom the artist was very devoted, the last stage of his journey, however, will be Thursday 5th August: at 11:30 in the morning mass is scheduled at the Church of Santo Stefano Protomartire al Monte Argentario. This is where Raffaella’s ashes will stop.
The Argentario was one of the places in the heart of Raffaella Carrà and Sergio Japino he will respect his wishes to the last. The organization has made it known that the entrance to the Church will be open to the public, naturally in compliance with current safety regulations, including distancing and quota places.
In this strip of land in the province of Grosseto in Tuscany, Raffaella Carrà spent several happy periods of her life, here she also had a gym in which he trained during his stay in the villa of Cala Piccola: a few weeks before his death, Raffaella herself had donated the structure to the volunteers of the Brotherhood of Mercy: his gesture, with hindsight, takes on an even deeper meaning.
The travel of Raffaella ends in Tuscany but her memory remains alive in the fans, through the songs and repertoire images that have written pages and pages of the culture and society of our country.
