Man died in drowning accident in Groruddalen in Oslo

The Oslo police district announced the incident on Twitter at 9 pm on Friday night.

After a search operation both in the water and in the surrounding area, the man was eventually retrieved from the water.

– Life-saving first aid was implemented, but unfortunately life could not be saved. This is a drowning accident, not suspicion of anything criminal, the police write.

The 33-year-old’s relatives have been notified and are being taken care of, the police say.
