Rome, 23 July 2021 – Today another update with the bulletin of Ministry of Health, Civil protection and regions. As usual, the data on total cases, currently positive, deaths, recovered, hospitalizations and intensive care will be disseminated, while the Covid contagion it grows a lot, but the effects on hospitalizations continue to remain limited, due to vaccinations. The protagonist of this new wave is the Delta variant, whose circulation is constantly increasing and is now prevalent.
New yellow zones, who risks: the criteria for restrictions
From the data of the weekly monitoring of the ISS-Ministry, in fact splashes theNational Rt which exceeds the threshold of 1 and settles at 1.26, that is, one person with the virus infects more than another. The regions / Lazio
Today in the Lazio, on over 10 thousand swabs and over 20 thousand antigenic for a total of over 30 thousand tests, 854 new positive cases, 1 death, 183 (+33) hospitalized, 30 (+1) intensive care, 107 recovered. The ratio between positives and swabs is 8.2% but also counting the antigenic the percentage drops to 2 , 8%. These are the data of the last 24 hours released by the regional councilor for health, Alessio D’Amato. In the city of Rome, the new cases are 544 and 1 death. In the provinces there are 126 new cases and 0 deaths.
In the last 24 in Lombardy they registered 691 positives at Covid-19 e a dead. Since the beginning of the epidemic, deaths have risen to 33,815; while it was since May 27 that there was not such a high number of cases (then there were 739). The swabs processed are 36,163, with a positivity index of 1.9%. Covid patients in intensive care drop to 27 (-1), while hospitalized patients rise to 142 (+7). In the Milanese area 203 positivity emerged, of which 98 in the city of Milan. In the other Lombard provinces, on the other hand, there are: in Bergamo: 23 cases; Brescia: 48; Como: 21; Cremona: 30; Lecco: 5; Praise: 20; Mantua: 53; Monza and Brianza: 46; Pavia: 22; Sondrio: 2; Varese: 169.

Then Cesena (29) and Forlì (24) and the Imolese district (24). As for the total number of people healed, they are 78 more than yesterday and reach 373,211. The active cases, that is the actual patients, to date are 3,906 (+396 compared to yesterday). Of these, the people in isolation at home are a total of 3,753 (+394), 97% of the total number of active cases. Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, there have been 390,389 positive cases and 13,272 deaths in Emilia-Romagna.
In Tuscany I’m 470 and contagion (465 confirmed with molecular swab and 5 by rapid antigen test). The new cases have an average age of 32 years. There have been no new deaths in the last 24 hours. On the other hand, hospitalizations are increasing: they are 98, 8 more than yesterday, of which 12 in intensive care, 1 less. With regard to the individual provinces, Florence records 189 new cases, with a further increase compared to the previous report which was 163, Prato 37, Pistoia 25, Massa Carrara 15, Lucca 57, Pisa 42, also this province increasing compared to yesterday like Livorno which today it counts 46 more, Arezzo 13, Siena 29. a growing vault, Grosseto 17 more.
In Campania were detected on the last day 261 positives of the day compared to 7,275 molecular swabs processed. This was communicated by the crisis unit of the Region. Five people have died in the last 48 hours, two have died previously but registered yesterday. The number of hospitalized patients is rising again, today 200. 189 hospital beds are occupied, five more than yesterday, out of 3,160 available. On the other hand, eleven intensive care units were employed, one less than yesterday, out of a total of 656 available.
Today the Crisis Unit of the Region Piedmont he communicated 140 new cases of people tested positive for Covid-19 (of which 19 after antigen tests), equal to 0.7% of 18,879 swabs performed, of which 15,597 antigenic. Of the new cases, 55 are asymptomatic (39.3%). The total of positive cases thus becomes 368,366. There are 3 hospitalized in intensive care (like yesterday), in the other wards there are 47 (-5 compared to yesterday). There are 1364 people in home isolation. The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 5,784,925 (+18,879 compared to yesterday), of which 1,858,675 tested negative.
In Puglia 10,887 tests for Coronavirus infection have been recorded and have been found 131 positive cases: 39 in the province of Bari, 20 in the province of Brindisi, 17 in the BAT province, 17 in the province of Foggia, 23 in the province of Lecce, 11 in the province of Taranto, 3 cases of residents outside the region, 1 case of non-resident province Note. No deaths were recorded.
Soaring in Umbria of new Covid cases in the last day. They were indeed 129, against 61 on Thursday. L’South Tyrol records 27 new Coronavirus infections. I am 18, however, in Basilicata, 17 in Molise and 16 in Valle d’Aosta. Also in Friuli Venezia Giulia 56 new positives were reported. In Calabria 107 new cases in the last 24 hours, in Abruzzo 62 positive and 1 death, in Trentino 54 cases. Another 117 infections in Liguria.
