JAKARTA – Konami recently officially changed the name of the game Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) to eFootball. But before that, there is a long history that witnessed how one of the most popular soccer games in the world grew.
Development PES started in 1994, but at that time it was still called ISS (International Superstar Soccer). Since the first launch, this game immediately became public attention and earned the nickname as the best game of its time.

The ISS has a far superior passing system and overrides the usual scoring methods FIFA and the like.
A year later ISS Deluxe was released on the SNES, named Fighting Eleven in Japan. Then in 1996 the Megadrive version of ISS Deluxe was released. This is the first ISS game that allows 8 players to play simultaneously.
Next came the Playstation era, World Soccer Winning Eleven was released in 1996 and was known as Goal Storm in the Western World. Shortly after ISS Deluxe was changed from the 16 bit version to the 32 bit generation.
In 1997 Konami re-launched its newest game, International Superstar Soccer 64 or better known as Jikkyou World Soccer in Japan. Continuing in the early 2000s, Konami launched 2 ISS sequels on PS2 known as Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) and Winning Eleven (WE) 5.
This year also the difference between WE and PES began because the making of WE and PES was left to different people.
For the manufacture of WE submitted to KCEO and PES submitted to KCET. One year after this submission PES launched its second version called Pro Evolution Soccer 2.G
In 2003-2006 PES launched its works successively, namely Pro Evolution Soccer 3, Pro Evolution Soccer 4, Pro Evolution Soccer 5 and Pro Evolution Soccer 6. In this latest version, PES can be played on PC.
In the fall of 2009, regeneration occurred again with the launch of Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 or PES 10. In 2012 KONAMI released a continuation of PES 2012 namely PES 2013. This game was released on September 20, 2012. This game runs on the Microsoft Windows platform, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Playstation 2, Playstation Portable, Wii, Nintendo 3DS.
On September 19, 2013 KONAMI launched its newest creation, PES 2014. This game was released for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo 3DS and Xbox 360.
And the next version of Pro Evolution Soccer is PES 2016. This game was released on September 15, 2015. PES 2016 can be played on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows.
