A little girl has died after being hit by a car in Gjerdrum municipality on Wednesday night. It writes the police on Twitter.
The girl was hit when a person was about to back up, the police told Dagbladet on Wednesday night. There are close relatives involved in the incident.
– It turns out that it probably happened in connection with the person in question having backed off, and then started driving forward. In connection with the reversal, the girl ended up under the car, said operations manager Terje Marstad to Dagbladet.
She is said to have ended up under the car, and was dragged several meters before the person in the car discovered it. Several should then have helped to get the girl loose.
She is in early school age, and was transported to Ullevål hospital. Right after 02.00, the police write that the girl died from the injuries.
A person has the status of the accused in the case, and has had his driver’s license confiscated. The incident is considered an accident.
The girl’s next of kin have been notified, the police inform Dagbladet on Thursday night.
