Who is the Scholarship aimed at to start the degree?
This scholarship is for students and graduates of a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher University Technician (TSU), who are enrolled in Public Institutions of Higher Education (IPES) in our country.
Who can apply for the Scholarship to Start the Degree?
Students who have already started their procedures to do their thesis or some other written work or Also those who can do another professional activity to get a degree are the ones who can request this support.
What are the requirements to apply for the Higher Education Scholarship?
There are general and specific requirements, we detail them here.
General requirements:
- You must be nominated by the IPES of origin.
- Have started with the corresponding procedures to do the thesis or any other written work or any professional activity to obtain your degree from August 2020 to July 14, 2021. Your thesis topic or the activity for the degree must be be accepted by your IPES of origin.
- Not having achieved the academic degree for which you are applying for the scholarship (Bachelor’s Degree or TSU).
- You must not have any other federal economic benefit granted for the same purpose.
- Not having any other federal economic benefit under the principle of temporality is not compatible with the scholarship you are requesting.
- You must register your application for the scholarship in the Unique System of Higher Education Beneficiaries (SUBES) on the following website https://subes.becasbenitojuarez.gob.mx/.
- Finally, you must have a CLABE registered in SUBES.

- Graduates: you must have graduated as of September 2020.
- Students: be a regular student in a Bachelor’s or TSU program, not have any pending subjects from a previous school year and you must also take the subjects according to the study plan.
What is the amount that is paid in the Scholarship to start the degree?
The students will receive a support of 4 thousand pesos.

How is this scholarship applied for? We tell you step by step
First of all, the IPES must register the updated school records of all students within the platform UP.
Every student must verify that their data is correct. If not, they must be modified. Since everything is in order, the student will be able to activate his school record. With all this ready, you can start the scholarship process by following these steps:
- They must register their request through SUBES on this web portal: https://subes.becasbenitojuarez.gob.mx/ They have a deadline from August 24 to September 14, 2021.
- It is mandatory that the student deliver all the required documents.
- From August 24 to September 17, 2021, the IPES of origin will apply to all students who have met all the requirements for this scholarship.
- The CNBBBJ will be in charge of reviewing through SUBES the application for the scholarship, as well as the socioeconomic questionnaire of the applicants.

* The account must belong to a bank residence that resides in the country.
* The account cannot be from ‘Banco IXE’, ‘Banco Walmart’, ‘Banco Ahorro Famsa’, or ‘Cuenta Efectiva Jovenes de BanCoppel’.
* It cannot be an ‘e-wallet’ account.
* That does not have a deposit limit per month.
* It cannot be an investment account.
