New York Jets assistant coach Greg Knapp was in a bicycle accident and is in critical condition in a California hospital.

This is what the 9 News network of Denver reported on Monday. The 58-year-old man was struck by a vehicle and sustained several serious injuries.
“Greg is an amazing human being. It’s hard to imagine the challenge he and his family face. Greg’s jovial nature, kindness and knowledge has allowed him to have great connections with all of our coaches, players and staff. I ask you to pray for him as we all hope he recovers from this horrific accident, ”head coach Robert Saleh said in a Jets statement on Tuesday.
Knapp was hired by the New York squad last January and was primarily responsible for young quarterback Zach Wilson, who was selected with the second overall pick in the last NFL draft.
