Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Pshida criticized Russia for refusing to return the wreckage of President Lech Kaczynski’s crashed plane.
In an interview with wPolsce, he said that Russia does not fulfill its obligations, does not respond to the calls of the international community and does not respect the principles of the civilized world.
“For us, Russia is a very big challenge,” he noted, adding that now there are no prerequisites for a political dialogue, therefore contacts with Moscow are conducted only at a low level.
Earlier, the Russian side said that the wreckage remains in the country pending the completion of the investigation. At the same time, the Polish side extended the period for the investigation of the criminal case on the Smolensk disaster until the end of 2021.
