CHARLOTTE, North Carolina – UNC Charlotte officials reported a COVID-19 outbreak Monday.
Those affected are five students who reside inside and outside the university facilities. All have been isolated and receive adequate medical care.
University authorities have notified those who had close contact with those affected so that they can quarantine themselves and take the necessary tests.
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services define an “outbreak” as a minimum of five cases.
