Nintendo Denies Releasing New Model Switch

Suara.com – Japanese game company, Nintendo, has no plans to release a new model for the Switch handheld console. This news is a refutation of the previously circulated issues.

“We would also like to clarify that we have just announced Nintendo Switch (OLED model) will launch in October 2021, and has no plans to launch another model at this time,” Nintendo said in a tweet.

This information is a refutation of rumors previously issued by Bloomberg. Last March, Bloomberg accurately described the size, screen type, and launch date Nintendo Switch OLED.

Then a follow-up report emerged at the end of May, where Bloomberg stated Nintendo would unveil a new model with 4K output at the 2021 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event.

Unfortunately, when the OLED Switch launched, Nintendo didn’t release those specifications. Some fans believe 4K output will come to a new device called the Nintendo Switch Pro.

Some time ago, the company officially released the Nintendo Switch OLED with a large 7-inch screen. This handheld console comes with a resolution of 1080p.

In addition to the new screen, this OLED model also has a new stand or mat that can be adjusted when playing on a table. There is also 64GB of internal storage up from the previous console which contained 32GB.

Next up there is a new dock with a wired ethernet port built into it. Then console audio is also enhanced when playing in handheld or table mode.

The Nintendo Switch OLED goes on sale on October 8 at a price of US$350 or Rp. 5 million.
