‘Sometimes André comes in from playing outside and has a bunch of flowers with him’, writes the proud Monique with a photo of a modest, but lovely bouquet. The little man then goes to the neighbor to ask if he can pick some flowers for Monique. ‘I think this is so sweet and thoughtful. (…) I want to share that with you.’

Monique previously wrote about this sweet gesture from her son when, shortly after the break with André, she put her whole soul and bliss in her Girlfriend-column threw. The daily ‘power texts’ from friends, the help of her family and the support Monique received after the breakup, dragged her through this intense period. Little Dre especially gave her a lot of energy. ‘This week he had written ‘mama’ for the first time and made a sweet drawing of a heart with it. I melted.’
‘Or when he came in with a bunch of tulips in his hand and said I’m the sweetest mama in the world. My neighbor had pressed those tulips into his hands,” she wrote at the time. “It made me cry, but it did me so good.”

Rachel Hazes was not very sad about Monique’s breakup from her son. She said she had trouble with the age difference between them, she said in the video below.
