The official introduction of the iPhone 13 is fast approaching, which also brings with it a growing amount of speculation. While o parameters a physical form quite a lot has been written, we haven’t learned much about the upcoming new features yet. Well-known Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman unleashed his imagination, assuming that the iPhone 13 will receive one improvement that has not been much talked about yet.
That improvement is the always-on display, the appearance of which could be inspired by another product of the giant from Cupertino, namely Apple Watch. According to Gurman, this is a logical step – in the case of the iPhone 13, there is speculation about a higher battery capacity, which should be supplemented by an OLED LTPO display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
This combination suggests that in the case of the battery, Apple creates a reserve for the standby display, which constantly shows the time and incoming notifications. It is the LTPO displays that can display information at low brightness values, without major impacts on battery life.
Whether we will see the always-on mode for the new iPhones 13 is still unclear. It should be noted, however, that Mark Gurman hit the nail on the head.
