The career of the Slovak hockey defender Oliver Turan will continue in the extra-league club HC 21 Prešov.
He imitated the steps of his teammates from Detva, who, after moving the club to Prešov, continue in the staff of coach Ernest Bokroš. The Prešov club informed about the agreement with a 20-year-old defender on social networks.
Turan played 30 matches in the extra-league year 2020/2021, in which he added 14 penalty minutes and 6 minus points to the statistics. He represented Slovakia at two championships under 18 and two World Championships “20.”
After the arrival of Turan, there are already 9 players on the roster of the Prešov team who wore the Detva jersey in the 2020/2021 year. Goalkeeper Roman Petrík, defenders Frederik Fekiač and Lukáš Lalík and attackers Jakub Žilka, Tomáš Klíma, Jonathan Charbonneau, Viktor Fekiač and Ján Sýkora have already headed in the same direction.
Russian goalkeeper Nikita Bespalov, Czech defender David Růžička, Finnish striker Tommi Jokinen and Slovak strikers Martin Krasničan and Marek Zagrapan, who will be the team captain, have already joined the squad.
