At a press briefing in Downing Street on Monday, Patrick Vallance said that 60 percent of the inmates had received two vaccine doses. England has recently had an increase in infection among both unvaccinated and vaccinated. Several regions in England have not had as many corona patients in hospitals as they have now, since March.
“The vaccines are very effective, but not 100 percent effective, so it is inevitable that some of those who have been vaccinated with two doses can be both infected and hospitalized,” says Vallance.
